St. Timothy's Episcopal Church
St. Timothy's and Beth Chaim Congregation are co-hosting the Winter Nights Shelter from Monday, March 9 through Monday, March 23 at St. Timothy's Parish Hall. With your help, we can provide a warm, safe haven for homeless families with children during their two-week stay.
As the Shelter will be open all-weekend, we will try to provide a relaxed, homelike environment for our guests. Guests may choose to watch movies, play on the playground, or just relax on the patio. Shelter guests often just want to quietly relax and some guests will leave for the weekend to stay with family or friends.
For each date and shift listed below, we will need 2 volunteers who will be responsible for opening and monitoring the playground and Youth Center, and organizing games/crafts if you like (not required). The volunteers in the morning are responsible for setting out the lunch fixings (found in the kitchen and pantry). The volunteers in the afternoon are responsible for setting out snacks (also found in the kitchen and pantry) for the Shelter guests.
