WUU Social Justice
Join us every Friday during the summer to prepare bagged lunches for food-insecure children in our area. There are at least 4,300 children in our community who are eligible for free and reduced-priced meals during the school year. These children are faced with hunger during the summer break. We are working with other congregations to provide meals to these children and their families. Our day to help is Friday. The food will be provided and volunteers are needed to help prepare the sandwiches and pack the lunches. The meals will then be delivered to Meals on Wheels for distribution. This is a family-friendly volunteer project. Young people are welcome!
