ALP PTO Chairpersons Roles for 2018-2019 School Year

Hello ALP families and staff!

The 2018-2019 PTO Officer role positions are now open for submissions! At our next PTO meeting on Thursday, April 5th, the new ALP PTO Officers will be voted in for the following school year. This vote is specifically for the 6 ALP PTO Board Members (OPEN on "ALP PTO Officer Roles" SignUpGenius tab as #A-F) who are required to be at each board meeting and have the main leadership roles: the PRESIDENT, VICE-PRESIDENT OF SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, EDUCATIONAL LIAISON,FUNDRAISER EVENTS LIAISON, SECRETARY, and TREASURER.  

If you are interested in serving ALP, its staff, students and families in one of these officer roles, or if you know someone who you would like to nominate for one of these roles, please contact Olivia Rognstad at [email protected], sign up for the slot on the SignUpGenius link tabbed "ALP PTO Officer Roles", and join us at the April PTO meeting! If more than one of you sign up for any available officer role, we will have a written vote at the meeting.

THIS TAB IS CONCERNING the Chairperson Roles for the 2018-2019 school year that are now open, which are incredibly helpful in making the PTO events and services more manageable and smooth. The chairperson roles are OPEN here on “ALP PTO Chairperson Roles” SignUpGenius tab as B1-B9, C1-C5, D1-D2, E1-E2, and F1-F2. These roles do not need to be voted in. These roles do NOT have to attend each monthly PTO meeting, just report updates to their presiding officer in charge. Many of these roles are extremely doable in your down time, as just managing ONE of the many events we do helps to make the school be the best it can be. Each of our events and roles fulfill our PTO’s goals; to either be in the pursuit of Community, Fundraising, or Service.  If anyone is interested in serving ALP, its staff, students and families in one of these roles, please contact Olivia Rognstad at [email protected], sign up for the chair role on our “ALP PTO Chairperson Roles” SignUpGenius tab,  and we would love to have you join us at the April PTO meeting at Janae’s house!

ATTACHED you will find the DETAILED Job Descriptions for all Officer and Chair Roles. Please refer to that, as the SignUpGenius descriptions of each role are not in full detail.

B.8. Daddy Daughter Dance Chair

Plan the Daddy Daughter Dance on the last Saturday of February, to be held in the evening at the Temple Chai. Coordinate setup and breakdown of this event. Coordinate music, punch, dessert table, decor, photobooth backdrop and volunteers etc.

Coordinate the Online Auction, organizing the donations in baskets, overseeing volunteers, assist in grouping winnings to bidder numbers for pickup

 

C.4.d. Online Auction Donation Procurement Chairpersons (2)

Procure donations for the online auction, assist Online Auction Production Chair with entering donations into biddingowl site. Not required to attend PTO meetings.

 

C.4.e. Class Baskets Chair

Coordinate with home room teachers to create sign ups for the class baskets. Oversee the competition and the pizza party for the winning class the week after the auction.

Promote and coordinate the hosted parties for the online benefit auction to the staff and families at ALP.

 

C.4.g. Donor and Bidder Retention Chair.

Coordinate volunteers in efforts to retain donors and bidders, such as social media shout outs and hand written thank you notes to donors and bidders in the weeks after the auction event.
