EMSC Volunteers

Age Class Race Jan 26th, 2021 - Men

Thank you for signing up to help! We are excited for a great race day. We can not put on a great race day without you. Also, a lot of positions will enable you to watch your athlete race!

Most positions you do not need previous experience. Feel free to sign up for something you haven't tried before. If the job does need previous experience it will be posted in the description.

Masks are required to be worn for all positions. Athletes must be wearing mask at all times except:

1. In the start gate.

2. When racing the Course.

3. In the finish arena after completing the run.

All athletes and volunteers will adhere to COVID-19 CDC guidelines or they will be removed from the race. CDC guidelines can be found here.

All vollunteers are required to complete a health screening 24 hours before the race. Complete the health check here. It's also located on the Fact Sheet.

You will need to sign in and sign out for any shift you sign up for in order to get points. Please do not sign up ahead of time the time and date stamp will be off. The Volunteer supervisor will have a ipad to check in or you can check in on your phone. Volunteers that volunteer all day will receive a free voucher to ski Eldora on another day. Please check in with the volunteer coordinator before going to your position. If you do not check in your job will be assigned to someone else and you will not receive the points. All volunteers must have a signed waiver on file for the current season.

Runner on Skis

This is an all day inside/outside position. You will need to be on skis/snowboard to ride the lists and deliver documents around the hill and to the timing shack.

This is an all day position, mostly inside. You are the go to person for all questions from volunteers and participants. Previous race volunteering is helpful but not required. Training is provided.

This is a very important position. You will be the backup to the electronic timing system. This is an outsde job at the top of the course. It is a long walk to the top of the run so it is easier to be on skis/snowboard and ride the lift.
