PORCH Packing, Sorting & Delivery
PORCH VOLUNTEERS we are still in need of a few extra hands/cars for our upcoming September food sort. Please look over the slots we still have open and sign up if you are able to help. Note our greatest needs are Monday at 2pm transporting bags from Extraordinary Ventures to Homestead Aquatics Center and Tuesday 9am transporting bags from Extraordinary Ventures to area pantries.
PORCH will be receiving donations and sorting food for our Food For Family program & Pantries on Sunday, September 19 (receiving and sorting donations), Monday, September 20 (packing bags for our Food For Families Program and for the pantries we serve), Tuesday, September 21 (delivering to the pantries we serve) and Wednesday, September 22 (picking up and delivering milk to our Food For Families Program).
******PLEASE NOTE *******
We are receiving and sorting donations at Extraordinary Ventures, 200 S. Elliott Road, Chapel Hill - across the street from Whole Foods.
Deliveries will be made either to Homestead Aquatics Center or local food pantries.
We are also in need of several people to pick up milk from Harris Teeter North (1800 MLK Blvd) and deliver it to Homestead Aquatics Center on Monday afternoon and Wednesday morning.
Please consider signing up to help with the sorting, packing, and transport of these bags.
Please wear a face mask, sanitize your hands before working and frequently while working, and don't come if you're feeling sick or if you've been exposed to someone who is sick.
Contact Carol Lucas and Laurie Goldwasser or if you have any questions - [email protected] or [email protected] or phone 847-814-2767.
Thank you very much!
