Anchorage Weaver & Spinner Guild
The beginning spinning class is designed to get the brand new spinner started. Get the exact yarn that you want for a project by making it yourself!
The first day we will learn to prepare our fiber and spin on a spindle. Small and portable, spindle spinning is a great method of spinning to take with you wherever you go. The second day will be devoted to spinning on a spinning wheel. Several different types of wheels will be on hand to try. If you are bringing your own wheel, be sure it is in good working order or arrive early for a possible tune up.
One class is $15.00 or both classes are $20.00. Pay online with your sign up, or mail a check to the Anchorage Weavers and Spinners Guild at AWSG, PO Box 244055, Anchorage, AK 99524-4055. Payment holds your spot.
The class is located at the Mt. Vernon Commons at 3322 West 34th Ave, between Eureka and Bering Streets. There is a small parking lot by the road, and the building is set back down a narrow driveway. Please park in the parking lot or on the street and walk up the driveway to the building.
Cancellation policy: Should you need to cancel for any reason there is a 50% refund, unless someone takes your spot, then the refund is 100%.
