Cub Scout Pack 227
Parents, we are pleased to announce that Pack 227 has again made reservations at the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center from Friday, Aug. 9 to Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 . Irvine Ranch is operated by the Orange County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. It is located within the Irvine Regional Park in the city of Orange (approximate 30 minute drive from Huntington Beach).
The facility provides a wide variety of activities including a pool and water slide, Archery and BB gun range, mine immersion program and zip line (min. age for zip line is 8). On Friday night those interested can go on a night hike or attend an Astronomy presentation. On Saturday night we will have a campfire in the amphitheater. The cost for everything is $110 per person (children 5 and under are free).This includes 4 meals (Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast). You will be responsible for your own dinner on Friday. The price includes all of the activities listed above. Since we will be camping you will need to bring your own tent, sleeping bag, etc. Siblings are welcome. We currently have reservations for 50 people. Please look at your summer calendar and use this link to sign up. If you get me a check (made payable to "Pack 227") then you are guaranteed a spot. Checks can be dropped off at the St. Bonaventure School Office (not the Parish Office), mailed or dropped off to my house (4841 Curtis Circle, HB 92649) or given to me at a Pack meeting. Don't let the slots fill up before you decide !
Many of you attended Family Camp at Irvine Ranch in 2015 and 2017and know how much fun this is. This will be a great weekend for the entire family. Look at some of the attached photos!
