We will be holding a flu clinic for patients who are ages 6 months and older, along with parents/caretakers in our Franklin office. As more vaccine arrives additional flu clinics will be held in each office for all age groups in the coming weeks.
New patients, patients with severe egg allergies who have not received this vaccine before, or patients who are unsure if they can get a flu vaccine should call for an appointment.
Pediatric Associates of Norwood & Franklin and the CDC recommend that everyone ages 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each year.
The flu vaccine we administer is the Quadrivalent vaccine that contains both the Seasonal Flu and H1N1 Flu, combined into one vaccine. All the vaccine we are administering is Thimerosal Free.
There are certain restrictions on who can receive the Flu Vaccine, so please be sure to read the Vaccine Information before scheduling your appointment.

As a convenience to our patient's families, we will be offering the Flu Vaccine to parents and caretakers of our patients during flu clinics. The cost of this vaccine is $30.00 and will not be billed to insurance. Please, schedule along with your child.
Flu Booster Vaccine
Some children require two doses of influenza vaccine. Children 6 months through 8 years that are being vaccinated against the flu for the first time, and those who have only previously only gotten one dose of flu vaccine, should get two doses of vaccine this season, given a minimum of at least 30 days apart. All children who have previously gotten two doses of vaccine (at any time) only need one dose of vaccine this season.
