UUAA - Got Roots?

Got Roots: Farm and Garden Project

UUAA Got Roots is a UUAA lay-led collective including Mindful Eating, Racial Justice Arc, Climate Crisis Action Group and the Social Justice Council.

The goal of the Got Roots project is to serve and amplify the voices & work of marginalized people as related to food access and economic justice. Our goal is to:

  1. Learn how various communities are using gardening or farming as a tool for liberation

  2. Introduce various community farms to the UUAA community

  3. Promote healthy sustainable reciprocal partnerships between UUAA and larger community

  4. Be of assistance to the farms we visit

  5. Host Zoom Discussions to connect the farm + garden visits with a deeper personal meaning
