Every fall, Plymouth provides hospitality to 12 homeless men who are working with CAMBA to find jobs and permanent housing. We provide hospitality, a nutritious dinner, and a safe and warm place to sleep Sunday through Thursday evenings. We need four volunteers per night:
An Opener/Greeter to open the shelter in Hillis Hall, greet guests, help set up dinner and provide orientation to the overnight volunteers. If you would like to be an opener, Nancy Trott will provide training.
A cook to prepare dinner at home for 12 people (10 guests and 2 overnight volunteers). Cooking is an excellent way to involve your children by having them help bring and serve the meal.
The two overnight volunteers spend the night at the Shelter in Hillis Hall. Cots are provided and the volunteers sleep when the guests do. Two people may sign up together. If you have a teen 16 years or older, he/she may be an overnight volunteer along with a parent.
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!
