The PTSA will be selling concessions at Granger home athletic events and at the Granger Getaways. The money raised by selling concessions is used to fund PTSA student functions and to support Granger Middle School's many teams and clubs.
In order to provide this service, we will need volunteers to staff the concession stand. Anyone, high school age and older, can volunteer. Families that have a student participating in a sport should volunteer for at least one shift...two shifts are preferred. We have allocated 2 slots for the 4:00-6:00 shift to allow each volunteer to see their child's team play his/her game. Ideally, a family member from the A team and one from the AA team will sign up for each shift, thus allowing one volunteer to go to the gym to watch his or her child play while the other volunteer staffs the concession stand and then trade spots for the other game. If there is only 1 volunteer, or 2 volunteers with players from the same team, feel free to close the concession stand to see your child play.
For Athletic Events, each date is divided in to two shifts and each shift will have two volunteers scheduled.
3:00-4:00 PM - Setup and Sell - Volunteers will pick up the concession keys from the office and bring them to the area right outside the little gym, where tables will be set up. The volunteers can unlock the silver cabinets and set out the snacks, unlock the coolers and count the cash box. Then, you are ready to sell!
4:00-6:00 PM - Sell and Close - Volunteers will sell until the event is over or 5:45. All the closing instructions are taped to the inside of the cash box. It is fast and easy.
For Granger Getaways, there are two shifts with 4 volunteers for each shift. The first shift is from 6:00 - 7:15 p.m and the second shift is from 7:15 - 8:30 p.m.
