SMPC Missions Outreach
Are you looking for volunteer opportunities for your whole family?
SMPC is excited to develop our partnership with The Urban Ministry. The Urban Ministry Center is an interfaith organization dedicated to bringing the community together to end homelessness, one life at a time. Throughout the year, SMPC families will be serving drinks to neighbors during lunch time
Drink Groups (2-4 adults + kids): bring and serve drinks for 400 (200 on the weekends). Your group will set up in the dining room and pass out drinks to neighbors as they get their lunches. Bring either chilled bottled/canned drinks, or cups, powdered drinks, and ice (five 10lb bags).
Please consider participating in this transformative and relational volunteer opportunity by Serving OR Donating items.
***For those serving, please meet in the SMPC parking lot at 10:00 am the day of event***
**For those donating, please place non-perishable items in the community outreach closet located in the Palmer Building M-F 9am- 3 pm. Ice can be placed in the freezer in the kitchen. Any donations can also be dropped off in the Narthex on Sunday mornings between worship services 10:00-10:30. A representative from the Missions Outreach committee will be available. Just look for the shopping cart and folks wearing Mission Outreach aprons. ***
