"Bread of Life" Campaign Kickoff - Volunteer Bread Deliverers

The theme of this years’ stewardship campaign is the “Bread of Life”.  Members of our parish will attempt to deliver a loaf of bread and a pledge card to every household in the parish. We used this theme several years ago during stewardship, and the experience of delivering and receiving bread was a wonderful experience for families in our parish.

With over 500 families in our parish, delivering bread to each family is a large undertaking. We need your help! Last time we did this we had 130 people who delivered bread, and we will need even more this time. Here are the details:

  • Each parishioner/family who wishes to deliver bread will be given 3-4 bags of bread with addresses and contact information for the people you are delivering to.
  • Bread pick-up will be in the Great Hall the morning of Sunday, October 7th following the 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. Bread is to be delivered Sunday afternoon.

You will hear more about our campaign in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact our Stewardship Chair, Hank Poellnitz, (205) 873-0419, [email protected], or Karen Everitt, (205)937-0973, [email protected].
