Well, we've gotten through our first weekend events at the club for this summer! I must say, the Friday night grill made us all feel like things may be getting a little closer to normal. Even with tables 6 feet apart it felt like we were out to dinner and it was so nice. There were even more people at the Saturday Night Pop Up Picnic and I heard it was terrific, as well!
That said, there have been many changes to the schedule as people aren't travelling as much this summer and some need to stay safe at home. We have a lot of new procedures in place to try to stay safe, while also keeping the fun at the club this summer. I've tried to update as best I can for now. We are not able to have Wednesday night Pitch Ins at this time, so I've wiped out a few but kep some on for the future in hopes of them being reinstated. As we get closer, I'll make more changes. I hope you'll still consider signing up to help on the events. Saturday nights theme parties are pretty slim right now so we are in need of anyone with ideas. There won't require as much help as the hosts and help aren't allowed to deal with the kitchen and food. Otherwise, we may have some nights with no plans or very simple, if any, menu.
The dates that are still available for theme parties will show a question mark in the title. There are a couple of recommended ideas but if you have an idea, have at it! Add in your special theme party in the notes and the rest can be filled in by others. If it's easier to get in touch with me to add, I'm more than happy to do that for you. I'll put my contact info at the bottom of this. This is my first year heading the Social Committee and I'm still a newbie to the club, so I really appreciate any help, input and comments.
Here are a few guidelines to consider:
To ensure that all events are cost neutral or make a profit, the board has voted that all events spending must be pre-approved. No receipts will be reimbursed if they go over the budget as the events must be fully self-funded. Please turn your budget into Sherri with the assumption that 75 people will attend.
Suggested Budgets with 3 kitchen staff/tip, food and decorations or special drink, etc.
without entertainment --- Total $1,725 ($23/person)
with entertainment --- Total $2,610 ($35/person)
