Hillsborough River State Park
Take a leisurely 90 minute paddle down the Hillsborough River and learn about the natural history and natural communities that make the Hillsborough River watershed so unique and important. This volunteer-led tour will be enjoyable for individuals, families, and small groups.
The focus changes for each month's tour. Themes will include: the human and natural history of the Hillsborough River, local wildlife, photography, and adaptive paddling and more.
For each program, we are limited by the number of boats on the River. Your reservation guarantees you a spot on the tour with a kayak and safety equipment. This is free of charge (not including entrance to the Park). If all the slots are full online, you may show up on the day of the event to be placed on a waiting list. Unfilled slots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. You are welcome to bring your own boat but please let us know so we can plan accordingly.
Please meet at 8:45am at the Canoe Launch by Parking Lot 4, behind Pavilion 11.
If you are unable to attend after signing up, please delete your reservation or contact me. This allows someone else the chance to enjoy the tour. For more information, please email: Park Services Specialist, Ava Foster, at: [email protected]
