Golden Bike Cruise
Come support Maple Grove and the City of Golden and have a great time doing it!!
The Golden Cruise is held in the Farmer’s Market lot at the Golden Library. Rides are themed, and the riders often costumed with decorated bikes. On average, 150 - 200 riders, ranging in age from 5 to 70, participate. There is always a band playing great tunes and multiple prize drawings. At least two kinds of beer are sold (this year supplied by New Terrain), along with food and soft drinks from Bob’s Atomic Burgers. Because of the beer sales, the City of Golden must create a fenced perimeter that is manned with adult volunteers.
This is where our Maple Grove Volunteers step in. We need to provide 10-15 volunteers to help set up and tear down the event, check in riders and man the alcohol perimeter. In exchange, they split the beer sales with our volunteers! Last year’s volunteer groups received $600 each (after we added all the beer sales together at the end of the season), and the more beer we sell, the better the distribution!
Volunteers must report to the City of Golden Library at 4:00PM. Volunteers needed from 4-10
4:00pm - 10:00pm MDT
