St. Michael Parish
Because of COVID-19, we are limited on seating and we are asking everyone who plans to attend an Ash Wednesday Mass to sign up in advance. It is extremely important that you do so, because we want to be able to accommodate everyone. We also ask that if your plans change after you sign up, that you update your sign up to free up those spaces.
We are limiting capacity to 175 people per Mass. We are also asking that everyone in attendance wear a mask.
Our Ash Wednesday Mass schedule is:
- February 17 at 12:00 noon
- February 17 at 7:00 p.m.
A note about the distribution of ashes: Because of the pandemic, the distribution of ashes will be different this year. Pope Francis issued new guidelines in January to safely distribute ashes. When you come forward to receive ashes, Father Ed will sprinkle ashes on the top of your head instead of drawing a cross on your forehead, without saying anything.
As a reminder, the bishops of Ohio have indefinitely removed the obligation we have to attend Mass. We are most concerned for your safety and your peace of mind, and we want to stress that anyone who is at higher risk of infection or who is not comfortable yet returning to church should continue to stay at home.
If you are still not comfortable attending Mass in person, please join us online for our Ash Wednesday liturgies. Both of our Ash Wednesday Masses will be livestreamed on our website (www.saintmichaelchurch.net), our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/StMikeSharon), and our YouTube channel (www.youtube.com and search for St. Michael Sharonville).
If you have any questions, please contact the Parish Office at (513) 563-6377.
