Houston Middle School Band
The Houston Middle School Band is excited to once again assist the Salvation Army in their annual efforts to change lives for the better! We will be "ringing the bell" and safely playing holiday music outside the main entrance at Kroger on Farmington Blvd. on Saturday December 5th.
The following schedule of 6 musicians (7th-8th grade & High School brass, woodwinds & percussion on bell kits) and 2 bell ringers (6th graders) per shift will allow for playing music and ringing while social distancing. Mr. Nesvick will be at all shifts with music stands, sheet music and alcohol wipes to wipe down the stands in between sets. There will be hand sanitizer and bottled water for everyone.
Face Masks are required for all participants. Please send musicians with their instrument bell cover. Students can dress festively for the holidays!
NOTE: All musicians will need to practice and learn their parts to participate. Mr. Nesvick will schedule an afterschool Zoom meeting to practice with students on Tuesday December 1st.
Students may use this opportunity to earn service hours. Mr. Nesvick will sign their volunteer form after their shift or they can email him for a digital confirmation.
Please email Mr. Nesvick ([email protected]) or Leanne Coffey ([email protected]) if you have any questions or concerns.
