At least once a month, the lost and found bin by the front office needs to be emptied and sorted. The bin includes items from the three yards, as well as from BGC, and involves organizing items into bags that can later be donated. Matthew Evans will make sure donated items go to the many homeless families in the LAUSD school district. Octavia Lindhar delivers both clothing and lunch items to homeless families at Hope Gardens Family Shelter and Skid Row. Lunch items would otherwise go to landfills as most organizations do not accept previously used lunch items/water bottles for donation. The process is somewhat labor intensive and requires at least 2-3 people to be done quickly and effectively. In other words, we can really use your help! Of note, parents of 5th graders may use participation in helping with lost and found items towards community service hours. Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
