Several members of the Committee are coming to the end of their terms (some have been in position for nearly four years!) Generally the term is two years (at least it is for Scoutmasters-hint, hint!)
Committee Chair: (Lisa D.) Runs the monthly meetings and oversees the organization which supports the Troop.
Secretary: (open) Takes minutes during the monthly meetings, organizes and submits the annual recharter.
Advancement Chair: (Roxanne P.) Verifies Scoutbook records, purhcases and organizes all earned awards and ranks for the COH.
New Member Coordinator: (open) Recruits and tracks all new members, applications, and provides them to Council.
Events Chair: (open) Organizes Troop functions, such as Courts of Honor, Scout Sunday, Soup Kitchen, etc.
Outdoor Chair: (open) Submits the Troop for High Adventure Bases, Summer Camps and requests/reserves camp locations on an as-needed basis.
Fund Raising Chair: (Andrea L.) Organizes and heads up the Troops Fund Raising efforts (popcorn, camp card sales, Flags)
Other Committee Member: Always needed!! Completes special projects identified throughout the year for the troop (special clean up projects, Eagle Ceremony, etc.) Often, these members are tasked to fill open slots for short periods of time, or for single events (such as popcorn, camp cards, or flags for the season-if there isn't an identified person in that roll at the time.
