Please consider signing up to make lunch for the community for our Sunday Community Pracitce.
As part of a new initiative to make Sunday mornings a main part of what we do at the Shambhala center, we've created a new format desinged to build community and that includes food, meditation, and conversation. We've been doing it for a couple of months now, and it's going very well!
We are looking for more volunteers to step in and make lunch. We usually plan for around 20 people. We have a big crockpot at the center that is generally enough. But we need to add a second crockpot soon.
Please make a vegan soup (it's fine to have non-vegan things to add to it on the side) for 20 and a salad. We recommend buying the Taylor Farms prepackaged salads that have everything included, but if you'd like to make a salad from scratch, you're welcome to do so!
If you'd like to be reimbursed for your supplies, please submit your receipt to Eileen, and she'll write you a check.
Thank you! We think you'll find that it's a very rewarding and enjoyable experience. People love to smell the food cooking when they come in and many have expressed how warm and good it feels here on Sunday mornings lately. Please join the fun!
