From the Philly and the Dreamer team:
To all actors previously auditioning for the Phipps Fall Production of Philly and the Dreamer, to all of our supporters and actor friends, to our assembled production team, to the Phipps Center for the Arts and all its volunteers…
2020 was a crushing year for all of us, constricting our lives both personally and professionally. The complete shutdown of live theater was one of the many casualties of the Covid 19 pandemic. The journey back to normal life in general will be a challenge and so will the initial restoration of live theater. We are very grateful to the Phipps for attempting to take on such an ambitious production as Philly and the Dreamer as one of their first shows following the Covid shutdown. We applaud their commitment to live theater, to us, and to their audience. Sometimes though, at a given moment, the best laid plans just face too many challenges.
We hope all of you continue to follow your passion. Live theater will successfully return to normal, Philly and the Dreamer will live on, and the Phipps will continue their legacy of producing quality live theater for their community audience.
