Seniors & Parents
Virtual FAFSA Appointments are available to assist high school seniors and their parents complete the FAFSA with professional assistance on an individual basis in a private online webinar environment. Appointments are private and secure. Virtual appointments take place in the comfort of your own home or other location you choose using WebX, safe, secure, webinar software used by Oakland University. Users must have internet access, and a computer equipped with a microphone and speakers, or microphone and speaker accessories, or headphones with a built in microphone, or the availability of a smartphone from which to also join the webinar for audio purposes. Video capabilities are not required. You will receive a private link to your personal webinar environment after signing up for a virtual appointment.
Prior to attending the workshop or appointment, please review the FAFSA Checklist for a list of items necessary to complete the FAFSA. Students and parents should each create an FSA ID, recommended at least one week prior to completing the FAFSA. Use the FSA ID Worksheet to record related information for your files. Create an FSA ID now.
Each appointment will take approximately 30-60 minutes, therefore, please log in to the link you will be provided within 15 minutes of your appointment start time. If you do not log in within the first 15 minutes of your start time, your appointment will be canceled.
