Electrify your RUN! This is a Free 5-mile Fun Run promoting Runner's Safety!
What better way to bring awareness to runner safety than to take over the streets and light up one of the biggest parks in Salt Lake City? That's what this Fun Run is all about!
Did we mention that this fun run is FREE????
The course will be 5 miles. We will start at SLRC at 2454 S 700 E location and run down 600 East to Liberty Park, around Liberty Park, and then back down 600 East to the SLRC store. There will be one "Aid station" on the course. It will be at the 2-mile mark, at the South East corner of Liberty Park.
Participants will receive FREE glow sticks to wear on the run!
Requirements to run:
Salt Lake Running Co has been an active supporter of runners safety. It is our goal to teach runners how to be safe in all conditions. As runners, we MUST do our part to remain safe while on the roads, especially in dark and low-light settings. Therefore, all runners must have some type of refelective vest or shirt, and a light to participate in this event.
The following are acceptable:
- Reflective vest / sash / belt
- Jacket with reflective panels
- Reflective arm bands
- Head lamp
- Tail light or blinking light
Runners will observe all pedestrian laws while on the run. Traffic signs and cross walks must be used. Runners may run on the street, but the streets will not be closed to traffic.
Again, this run will take place at night, in dark and low-light settings, so please be prepared with the necessary lights. Bikes, strollers and dogs are completely allowed.
