Trinity United Methodist Church
Trinity is having a prayer vigil prior to the global United Methodist General Conference meeting February 23-26 in St. Louis, Missouri. Outcomes of the General Conference will impact the future direction of the Methodist denomination. The well-known Christian hymn “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” reminds us to “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.” We believe that this prayer vigil weekend will help us as individuals and as a church to focus on Jesus, to surrender our lives to God’s grace, and to seek the power of the Holy Spirit to unify us in vision, mission, and ministry.
How to participate:
Select an hour time slot to commit to pray during the Prayer Vigil Weekend. There are two ways you can take part in the Prayer Vigil: pray on-campus in the Chapel or remotely at home, at work, at a park or any place you can be quiet and not disturbed or distracted during the time slot you selected to pray. Come to the vigil with a friend!
