Lamb Center Volunteers (Laundry, etc)
Confirmation & Older Youth - 3rd Saturday Morning Volunteers: Important: All teens under 18 must provide the supervising adult at The Lamb Center with a permission slip each time they volunteer. Form attached.
Confirmands help once a month with laundry, supply sorting, kitchen duties, etc. as Deacon Dave or other Lamb Center staff direct. Older youth are also invited to help either in the morning nor afternoon. Adults and older youth are asked to cover this slot when the youth are traveling, 1-2 a year. This commitment continues all year long.
Every Saturday Afternoon Laundry: Our laundry commitment to The Lamb Center guests includes every Saturday afternoon. The shift runs from 12:30 p.m. to at least 4 p.m. and possibly longer depending upon the amount of laundry to be done. This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity. Families should consider sharing a shift with one family taking the first part (say 12:30-2:30) and another the second part (2:30 - 4:30 or until the clothes are done). In this case, each family should sign up as one volunteer & work out the time among yourselves. Guidelines attached.
NEW - Afternoon shifts in the winter months have been split into two shifts because the heavier clothes take longer to dry. If you're able to work the entire afternoon, feel free to sign up for both shifts. This change will double the number of volunteers needed in the winter months, but perhaps prevent volunteer burnout. Feedback invited.
