It's almost time for Emerson's annual UNICEF Carnival!
Most jobs will be on Sunday, October 28th, between Noon and 2pm, though we also have a non-Sunday option on Friday night!
UNICEF Carnival booth (pre-carnival)
Before and after the worship service (so really, 10:30 to 11 AM and 12:00 to 12:30 PM) remind people of this upcoming event, and encourage them to sign up to help!
Unload UNICEF supplies from RE Closet, take downstairs, and sort by activity. Pizza and dessert provided. This is a great middle school activity.
Guess the Fish
Provide 2-3 packages of goldfish crackers and a 2 liter soda bottle decorated to look like a fish. Count the fish as they are loaded into the soda bottle and write the #### on a piece of paper. Bring to the UNICEF table before service on October 28.

Cake Walk Treats (20)
Bring your choice of treats, packed for travel, for our cake walk. Items need not be sweet or homemade! Bring to kitchen before service on Sunday, October 30.
Sell tickets (2)
Work the ticket table during the carnival. (Also, take tickets for fish guessing!)
Cake Walk (2)
Play music. Stop. Prize!
Dress in a fortune teller or wizard costume and reads palms or gazes into a crystal ball to tell fortune.
Run Trading Post (2)
Children trade in their winnings for fabulous gently-used prizes. You make the deal!
Help w/ Pizza Sales (2)
1 person takes tickets, 1 or more serves pizza by the slice!
Bean Bag Toss
Kids throw the bean bags at the pumpkin. Bags that go through an opening win a blue prize ticket. 4 throws per turn.
Spider wheel of fortune
Kids spin the wheel and the color of the space it stops on determines the #### of blue prize tickets won. 1 spin per turn.
People pay 4 tickets per card per game. The attendants takes tickets and helps the caller as required. The winner gets a special card that allows them to pick a prize from the cake walk baked goods.
Place the tattoo on the child’s skin (peel off any plastic covering first). Hold a damp paper towel firmly against the paper backing for about 20 seconds. IMPORTANT: USE A FRESH PAPER TOWELL FOR EACH PERSON! Carefully peel away paper.
Ghostly Garden Attendant
. Let the child pick out a lollipop. Lollipops with colored ends win 2 prize tickets.
Kids throw the spiders at the web. Spiders that go through an opening win a blue prize ticket. 4 throws per turn.
Ring the Witch
Kids throw the rings at the cone of the witch’s hat. Rings around the hat win a blue prize ticket. 4 throws per turn.
Kids throw the washers at the game board. The color of the space it lands on determines the #### of blue prize tickets won. 4 throws per turn.
Duck Pond Attendant
Half of ducks have a star on the bottom. Ducks are placed in “pond”. Kids use the net to scoop out a duck. A duck with a star wins 2 blue prize tickets.
Make arrests and bring people to jail. Wear cowboy hat and a star on chest.
People pay 1 ticket per minute (max 5) to have a friend arrested. The friend’s name is added to the arrest warrant and it is given to the sheriff who arrests the friend. Arrested person stays in jail for that time or posts bail (1 ticket per minute.)

Wipe and put away tables and chairs, get UNICEF supplies back to RE closet.
