We need your help to make Shopapalooza Festival 2019 the best one ever!!
Shopapalooza kicks off the holiday season with a huge community festival including almost 250 local businesses, free entertainment, food hall, activities for kids and adults, and so much more. The event takes place 10 am to 5 pm Saturday Nov 30 and Sunday Dec 1 (Thanksgiving weekend) and admission is free. Volunteers are scheduled in short 3-hour shifts, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the festival before, during and after your shift is over!
- Major karma points!
- Free Shopapalooza Limited-Edition T-Shirt
- Volunteer Appreciation party in early 2020 (date/venue TBD)
We are looking for event "floaters" and setup volunteers to participate in three-hour shifts! Volunteers must be 18 or over.
- Setup and Breakdown Help: Help direct vendors to their spaces, and (optional, as time allows) help vendors load/unload. Vendors will sometimes tip volunteers who go above and beyond, like helping break down tents or carry things. Please know this is not a paid position, however. It's up to each vendor's discretion how much to tip, or whether to tip at all.
- Event Floaters: Go around your designated zone (will be assigned when you come to register) and check in with the vendors, help as you can! Any problems, just report to LocalShops1 staff! If you have extra time, please take photos and post on our event page with hashtags #LocalShops1 and #Shopapalooza. Yes, we also have an official photographer sponsor on board (Moorman Photographics), so these would be extra fun shots, as time allows. (Photos not required to participate)
