It’s that time of year again…. yes, schools are gearing up for an exciting new year!
We will be preparing, packing and delivering 576 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need -- including our Adopt-a-Schools; O.H. Stowe and Van Zandt-Guinn.
We have several areas where you can help us.
- Prep Work: Friday, August 12th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Volunteers will help unload palettes of supplies, sort, organize and distribute these supplies to designated tables in Evans Hall.
- Packing: Saturday, August 13th from 9:00am to 11:00am
Volunteers 8 years of age and older, will be using an assembly line approach to pack school supplies into backpacks. We are providing a card-making station for children under the age of 8 to create a personalized note for the students receiving the backpacks. (If you are registering children, please list their ages in the comment section).
- Delivery: Saturday, August 13th 10:30am.
Volunteers will take finished backpacks and deliver them to O.H. Stowe or Van Zandt-Guinn.
Singles, couples, families, and friend groups are welcome to register. We look forward to working with you to spread the love and care of White’s Chapel to others!
