St. John's Ushers
Please join me as we re-commit to our Ushering Ministry and continue in-person Eucharist @10:00am every Sunday.
As of now, per the Diocese - we are continuing with self-sign in at the 8:00am indoor Eucharist services, and any outdoor services.
Please refer to the Worship Guidelines on our website for the latest information and protocols.
Each of us has our own comfort level and I ask only that you sign up if you feel comfortable:
TWO USHERS are needed at the 10:00 am service to maintain social distancing requirements and take names of all participants, including clergy (per NY State regulations and Diocesan requirements). Ushers have returned to the roles of bringing the oblations to the Altar, passing the collection plates, and managing the Communion flow.
Following the service, Ushers place the attendance sheet in the Church Office and all offerings* in an envelope in the Church Office. Ushers then check each pew for left behind leaflets and straighten all the kneelers.
Thank you for serving your parish family as continue to navigate a Covid world together. We couldn't do it without you!
With gratitude for your commitment,
Lisa Young
*Offerings should be placed in a sealed envelope on the keyboard of Laura Rawlings's computer in the temporary office in the Thorne Room. Please count and record cash total and number of checks but do not open envelopes. The envelopes can go in with the cash and checks or be paperclipped to the primary envelope. Please mark the date and your name on the envelope.
