COVID-19 UPDATES, PLEASE READ!:
As a safety precaution, we continue to limit the number of student volunteer opportunities per shift. Please refer to NIU's Spring 2021 plan to help Protect the Pack for the most current information on COVID-19 safety protocol.
Volunteers MUST wear a mask at all times and may be asked to wear other protective equipment if necessary. Volunteers are asked to maintain social distancing.
If you feel sick, or have had direct or indirect contact with someone who has tested positively or is inconclusive, DO NOT attend your shift. The safety of our students and volunteers is of our utmost concern and we are understanding of these chaotic times. Please use this website to cancel your shift as soon as possible and communicate with us at [email protected] Thank you!
In order to ensure the success of the Huskie Food Pantry, we rely on the help of our wonderful volunteers! Volunteers are needed on Wednesday mornings to unload the food delivery. On pantry night, volunteers provide a welcoming atmosphere, restock food inventory, and help in bagging groceries. Please only sign-up if you are available for the full duration of the selected shift.
If you need to cancel your shift, please do so through this website as soon as possible. Repeat no-shows without communicating with us may result in losing the privelege to volunteer at the Huskie Food Pantry.
Please review the Volunteer Policies before you volunteer with us! This includes information about appropriate attire and arrival time.
--> New volunteer slots are added frequently, so please check back for more opportunities!
Thank you for your interest!
If you have questions, please e-mail student [email protected]
