HQ

This buzzing hub of positive, enthusiastic, and dependable volunteers will be responsible for holding down the fort at HQ, providing on-going support to our volunteers at the event, and facilitating shift changes between departments. If someone can’t find their volunteer group? The HQ connect you! A volunteer misses their shift? No problem! HQ has got you covered! Someone shows up and wants to volunteer? HQ will plug you in!

Participation: We love participation and we support all those who sign up for a shift by checking them in, providing a warm space to spend time in as well as snacks and hydration. 

Radical Self-reliance: It will be November and possibly chilly, rainy or windy. Make sure to check the weather before you arrive for your shift, so you can dress appropriately. There will be some spaces for volunteers to warm up a bit, but come prepared. Bring work gloves!

National Park officers will be present throughout the event, we encourage everyone to maintain the event alcohol-free and understand laws on possession on the National Mall.
