Church of the Resurrection
On Sunday, August 2, and Saturday, August 8, from 10 am to 11 am, drop off bag lunches for people who are homeless.
We will follow the same process below.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Grassroots is temporarily providing overflow shelter for people who are homeless in hotel rooms.
We are providing bag lunches for 45 individuals on Saturday, August 8. The meal was suggested by a social worker to meet the needs of those in the hotels, and all the lunches need to be the same.
Each meal must contain:
1 turkey and cheese sandwich on white bread (2 slices of turkey and 1 slice of American or cheddar cheese, no mayo or mustard) -- note there is 1 slot for a vegetarian bag lunch;
Lettuce and tomato slice in a plastic baggie (suitable for putting on the sandwhich by the recipient);
1 small bag of chips (any type);
1 fruit cup (any type);
1 cookie or brownie (any type);
1 drink (any type).
Drop-off the bag lunches (each in their own bag) at the Church of the Resurrection parking lot behind the Pastoral Center (the side farthest away from Rt. 40).
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up.
