UVU Choral Auditions
2019-2020 UVU Choirs Audition Information:
1) Select an audition time slot and prepare something to sing. A folk song, hymn, art song, or aria is fine. You may bring your own accompanist if you prefer.
2) Be prepared to vocalise so we can test your range for part placement.
3) You will be asked to sightsing a few musical examples and/or count rhythms to demonstrate your music reading skills.
4) After completing your in person audition, you will be notified if you've been invited to a call back audition for your desired ensemble. Instructions for the callback will be included at that time.
**Auditions take place in Dr. Criddle & Dr. Worthen's Offices: NC 746 & 747 in the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts***
Singers may audition for any of the following ensembles. Some students choose to sing in more than one ensemble if they so desire.
UVU Women's Choir (Dr. Cherilyn Worthen) : MWF 1:00-1:50
UVU Men's Choir (Dr. Reed Criddle) : MWF 1:00-1:50
UVU Chamber Choir (Dr. Reed Criddle) : TWThF 12:00-12:50
