Reston Masters Swim Team

2019 Jim McDonnell Lake Swim

The Reston Masters Swim Team thanks our many volunteers for working the 2019 Jim McDonnell Lake Swim! We could not have this event without so much team and community support, which has been instrumental to the lake swim's success over the past 30+ years!

You will notice that there are many different jobs and time slots for this year's race, which will be held on Sunday, May 26th. While we appreciate people signing up for multiple jobs, please avoid overlapping time slots. There are numerous activities that need to be handled during the race, each being relevant to the success of the lake swim. That said, we ask that volunteers arrive on-time for their sign-ups and notify the Team Leads or the Volunteer Coordinator should any conflicts arise.

Lastly, YES it is possible to swim the event AND volunteer, and many of our team mates do! So don't let swimming the event hinder you from signing up to volunteer--and vice versa. As a small token of our appreciation, volunteers receive an event t-shirt and lunch on race day. We hope to see you there!
