PLEASE Serve Your Community- Volunteer!
WellsFest, Jackson's original festival, was established in 1984 as a community service. From its modest beginnings, WellsFest has grown to become a significant community event, and a "must do" item on the fall social calendar. The festival features music, food, children's games, arts and crafts, a 5K run, pet parade, and family fun!
All proceeds from the festival activities go to this year's designated beneficiary, Growing Up Knowing.
Growing Up Knowing engages young people and their parents or caregivers in real conversations about sexual health throughout the state of Mississippi. They provide youth and their parents or caregivers accurate information and tools they need to stay safe.
Growing Up Knowing has two signature programs – Growing Up Knowing Middle School Program and My Body, My Boundaries Elementary School Program. They partner with community and faith organizations to provide these two programs to ensure healthier life decisions. They believe that children should GROW UP KNOWING the facts about sexual health and be able to effectively communicate with their parents.
We hope you will join us in this opportunity to support a worthy cause while providing the gift of a family-oriented, alcohol-free festival to the community. For more WellsFest info, go to wellsfest.org.
