JK Community Farm
Hello! The JK Community Farm is offering self-guided field trips this season to provide hands-on food education to students while following social distancing guidelines. We are sad that our normal class field trips have been postponed, but look forward to the normal structure returning next seaon.
We are passionate about connecting students to their food and the farmers who grow it. We believe it is the foundation for food education, building a lifelong commitment to food justice and empowering healthy eating. We hope to help students develop a solid foundation for understanding of the natural world, nutrition, and agruculture. Please use this time to explore the JK Community Farm and make connections with your child's currciulum and nature.
Our farm-based education programs come in a variety of structures. The JK Community Farm education programs can serve all ages and locales from Pre-K through 12. Once registered you will recieve an email with activity guides curated for your child's grade level, and standards of learning. We are asking for a minimum donation of $5/person to help us continue to grow healthy food for our community in need. Thank you! See you at the farm.
*Self-guided field trips are non-refundable. Due to a high number requests for dates and times to be altered after signup, we do ask that you sign up for an addtional date if you require changes. Thank you!
