Field to Table, Inc.
Please select the time slot you'd like to volunteer at the market, Saturdays July 3 through November 20. Once a volunteer has signed up for that time slot, the slot will be closed. Thanks for your support of the Cherrydale Farmers Market. See you Saturday!
Here is a brief description of the tasks:
Set-up (7:30 to 8:30 a.m., an hour shift) requires putting up the signage, tents, etc. and guiding and helping vendors if they need it. Also answering questions from market customers.
Market Booth (8:30 to 10:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., one and a half hour shifts) making sure the market activities are flowing well; manning the Cherrydale FM booth and other activities as the market manager requests; answering questions; advising any person in the market with a dog that dogs (other than service dogs) are not permitted due to federal and Arlington health regulations and Arlington Public Schools rules; keeping the market tidy. Extra credit: Taking photos in the market and posting them on the social media platforms you enjoy!
Closing (11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., a one-hour shift) - Packing up the market tent supplies; breaking down the Cherrydale FM tents for transport; removing the market traffic signage. Collecting market customer trash from the bins and disposing of the trash in the school’s refuse container. Policing the school grounds to collect any random paper and other trash for disposal. Assisting vendors needing help with packing up their gear.
The market manager or a Cherrydale FM committee member will drop off and later collect the trailer with the market supplies. Please note that the first four slots for each market day are for the market managers working that day and for those responsible for bringing and removing the trailer.
