Broadneck Baptist Church
This fall our conversations will be focused on local history. Join us for two great opportunities:
Sunday, October 13 2-4pm (SPECIAL TIME!): Carl Snowden, convener of the Caucus of African-American leaders, will be leading a walking tour of "Black Annapolis". This tour is designed to educate participants of the rich African-American history that exits in our city.We will meet on Sunday, October 13, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at the Civil Rights Foot Soldiers Memorial, 44 Calvert Street, Annapolis. There is free parking on weekends nearby at the Calvert Street garage, or closer parking you can pay for at Gotts Court Garage or Whitmore Garage. Wear comfortable shoes and dress casually. The tour will take about 2 hours.
Sunday, November 10 3-5pm: We will continue our look at local history by spending our time exploring a new virtual resource called African American Voices, Memories and Places: A Four Rivers Heritage Trail, exploring places significant to African-American history on the Broadneck peninsula and throughout Anne Arundel County.
Join us for these opportunities to understand our county's story and how it influences the stories of relationship and racial justice we are living today.
