FSBC Meet Volunteers - HOME - ACAC July 10

We need lots of volunteers to host a home meet!

Each family with a child on the "meet team" is expected to have one adult volunteer for one half of each meet in which their child participates.  If you aren't sure about the best job, please contact us.

Work from 3:30 -6:00. Help greet our guests and organize parking in the field. You can be done working before the meet starts!

Runners - 1st half (3)

Gather cards from the swimmers at the start, take them to timers and then deliver to the scoring tables. A fun way to be active during the meet! Coordinator: Jenny Koster

Heat Winner Ribbons - 1st half

Hand out a ribbon to the winner of each heat! This is a job for an adult, but it's one you might be able to do with your kids in tow (unlike most swim meet jobs).

Concessions - 4:00-6:00 (2)

Set up the concession table and fill water/lemonade coolers for volunteers. Sell team items and baked goods. Coordinator: Cathy Roy

Sell team items and baked goods. Help clean up and store merchandise around 8:00. Coordinator: Cathy Roy

 

Refreshments for Meet Volunteers- 1st half

Circulate with water and lemonade for meet volunteers and officials about every 30 minutes throughout the first half. (This is a job you can do with your kids with you, unlike many swim meet jobs.)

Sweep Judges - 1st half (2)

Sit at the finish and record the order of finish for each event. Timing or other swim meet experience is helpful. If you are new to sweep judging, please contact Beth Gehle to volunteer so you can work with an experienced judge first.

Volunteer Check-In 3:45-6:00 (2)

Help hand out name tags and make sure that all volunteers are present and know what to do.

 

Labels - WEDNESDAY MORNING 10:00 (3)

This is a job for people who cannot volunteer at the actual meet. Place labels on event cards to prepare for the meet. NOTE: This job is on Wednesday morning at 10:00.

 

Heat Sheet Pick-up - WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

Pick up heat sheets at printer (TBA) any time after 12:00 on Wednesday. Deliver them to the covered area near the deep end of the pool by 4:00 and let meet director (Jenny R.) know. Great job if you can't work at the meet itself.

 

Ribbons - THURSDAY MORNING 10:00 (3)

This is a job for parents who cannot volunteer at the actual meet. Alphabetize ribbons from the meet. NOTE: This job is on THURSDAY morning at 10:00.

 

Ribbons - FRIDAY MORNING 10:00 (2)

This is a job for parents who cannot volunteer at the actual meet. Prepare Super Swimmer and Time Improvement ribbons and alphabetize them with the other ribbons from the meet. NOTE: This job is on FRIDAY morning at 10:00
