Grand Central District Chili Cookoff
The Grand Central District Association is hosting our 15th Annual Grand Central District Chili Cookoff on Saturday, February 23 (12pm-4pm) and would love for you to join us! Please sign up to help with a variety of tasks during the day. All ages are welcome (children under 16 should be supervised by parent or guardian). The event takes places on the 2300/2700 block of Central Avenue. We'll meet in front of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) at 2599 Central Ave.
Volunteers will receive a great-looking chili cookoff shirt as well as a volunteer shirt to wear at the event that makes it obvious who you are! You will also receive a chili cookoff wristband which includes beer samples, a $25 value (volunteers under age 21 will receive the non-alcohol version of the band). For those working either of the second two shifts, you can come early and enjoy your chili before your shift. Please check-in at the ticket tent to get your wristband- we will collect your driver's license and return it when you return for your shift.
You are welcome (and encouraged) to volunteer for more than one shift. Each volunteer will receive only 1 shirt/wristband.
Free parking may be found on side streets in the area or on First Ave North and South.
