Kamala Yoga Studio (Katie Funk)
Updated Policies: I am offering in-person classes with a maximum of 8 students in studio. Please bring your own mat, but you are welcome to use other props I have available in the studio (strap, blocks, blanket, bolster, etc). Please remove your shoes at the bottom of the stairs. I am also asking that you please wear a mask as you arrive and leave unless you are fully vaccinated. You do not need to wear a mask once you are on your mat.
On-farm classes: Weather permitting, we will have classes outside at our farm in Funks Grove. Since we can have more people outside, anyone who is signed up on the waitlist will be welcome to join us outside. I will make a decision about whether we will be inside our outside the day before class and contact everyone who is signed up, including directions to the farm if we will be outside.
Please sign up for class by 4 pm the day of class. If there are fewer than three people signed up at that point, I'll notify those who have registered that class is canceled. Otherwise, class is on! First class is free for new students, then classes are $10, or you can get a 5-class pass for $40. Hope to see you soon!
All classes begin and end with guided breathing, meditation, and relaxation and are designed to release stress and tension while also improving balance, flexibility, and strength. I tailor classes to the needs and abilities of the students present and offer modifications to make poses easier or more challenging as appropriate. All experience levels, including beginners, are always welcome!
Gentle Yoga is focused on relaxation and stretching. Some standing poses and gentle flow are usually included, but most poses are lying down or seated and are restorative in nature.
Gentle Flow incorporates more gentle movement and standing postures that are appropriate or can be modified for any level.
