Signup Deadline: Monday, September 30, 2019 @ 8:00 pm

Prizes: Each member of the winning team will receive an award.  Closest to the Pin awards will also be given for each day of play.

Awards Presentation:   Awards will be presented at the Awards Lunch which follows the second day's play (October 14).

Game:  For this tournament, all participants will be divided into two Teams captained either by Karen Orejuela or Deb Sisk. This is a Team Event fashioned after the Solheim Cup.  Each 9-Hole match is worth 1 point for the Team.  When there is a tie, the 1/2 point will be awarded.  The total points for all 18 holes is also worth a point. Therefore, each day each pairing can win up to 3 points for their Team. (Holes 1-9 = 1 pt., Holes 10-18 = 1 pt. and Overall = 1 pt.)

First Day of Tournament - Wednesday, October 9

Name of Game: 9-Hole Better Net of the Twosome; 9-Hole Alternate Shot

Course: Lion's Paw

Tee Times: List exact times, ST/DT, etc.: 1:05-1:50 DT

Format: Day 1 - Holes 1-9 = Better Net - Two players from one team play against two players from the other.  Each person plays their own ball and the best net score wins the hole and 1 point.  If the hole is tied, then each side wins 1/2 point.

Holes 10-18 = Alternate Shot - Partners decide who will tee off on odd holes and who will tee off on the even.  After the tee shot, the partners then play alternate shots until the ball is holed.  Again, 1 point for the winner, 1/2 point for the tie.

At the end of the 18 holes, each team will tally up their points and whichever pairing has the most points will win 1 point for their Team.  If a tie, then both pairings will win 1/2 point for their Team.  At the end of the match, each pairing can win up to 3 total points for their Team.

Handicapping Information: Day 1 Holes 1-9 = All players will receive 100% of their 10/1/19 course handicap.  The Course Handicap of all four players is reduced by the Course Handicap of the player with the lowest handicap.  That player plays from scratch.

Holes 10-18 = The allowance for the higher-handicapped pairing is 50% of the difference between the combined course handicap of each pairing.  The lower handicapped pairing plays from scratch.  Example: Side A&B with a combined course handicap of 25 competes against C&D with a combined course handicap of 36.  The higher handicapped side, C&D, receive 6 strokes.  (36-25=11 x 50%=5.5 Rounded to 6.

Rules: All putts must be holed unless conceded by the opponent.  Play the ball down unless CPO, then LCP in the general area.

Handicapping Information: Day 1 Holes 1-9 = All players will receive 100% of their 10/1/19 course handicap.  The Course Handicap of all four players is reduced by the Course Handicap of the player with the lowest handicap.  That player plays from scratch.

Holes 10-18 = The allowance for the higher-handicapped pairing is 75% of the difference between the combined course handicap of each pairing.  The lower handicapped pairing plays from scratch.  Example: Side A&B with a combined course handicap of 25 competes against C&D with a combined course handicap of 36.  The higher handicapped side, C&D, receive 8 strokes.  (36-25=11 x 75%=8.25 Rounded to 8.

Holes 10-18 Shamble - Each player hits their own tee shot.  The best one is chosen and from that point, normal stroke play ensues as each player plays her own ball until it is holed. The lowest net of each pairing determines which team won the point.
