Spring Break is here so let’s vacation with the animals! Destination AWLA is the place to be this break for your children to have fun with companion animals while also being fully immersed in the actions of our facility. Join the members of AWLA in a 3-day camp filled with unique experiences to better understand what is needed to successfully care for all the animals we help on a daily basis. Highlights of this program include a unique tour of our facility, hands-on projects that enrich the daily lives of our animals, special presentations from animal care staff, learning ways everyone can help with wildlife and feral animals the community, special visits from our star residents who are up for adoption, and more.
This camp will be filled with opportunities for your child to participate in exciting activities, animal care lessons, craft projects, guest speakers, animal encounters, and more. Participants are encouraged to bring a snack to each day of camp. Space is limited for this one-of-a-kind spring break opportunity so be sure to pounce on this opportunity and sign your child up for Destination AWLA.
Note: If your child has allergies to peanuts, cats, dogs, or small companion animals of any kind (bunnies, ferrets, guinea pigs, birds, etc.), this may not be an appropriate club for your child
Registraion is $155 per child + 5% processing fee
Destination AWLA Spring Break Mini-Camp is for ages 10-13. Club members must be at least 10, and no older than 13 at the first club meeting.
Please remember that a parent/guardian must sign their child in and out for each club session. On the first day, please arrive 15 minutes early to sign a consent form. No child will be allowed to enter the club until a consent form has been signed by a parent.
