St. Martin's Winter Shelter
"St. Martin's, reflecting its namesake, Martin of Tours, humbly engages in community outreach and service that gives life to our Christian beliefs. We seek to do justice, love, kindness, and serve the vulnerable without exception."
- Outreach Commission Mission Statement
We hope to provide a warm, welcoming and safe environment for those in need of shelter and companionship. Please share your time and talent to make this possible by volunteering for any of the shifts and assignments you'll find listed below.
There are many shifts to choose from over the course of the week. Many "hands" are needed for a successful Shelter Week, so please consider volunteering. The Winter Shelter is a co-ed facility, as such, we are required to provide both male and female volunteer presence when working with our friends in need especially overnight. We welcome members from King of Glory Lutheran Church and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church who have graciously offered to assist St. Martin's. If unable to volunteer we ask for your continued prayers for our guests without a place to consistently call home.
There will be a training on Sunday, February 16th at 10 AM in Miles Hall.
Thank you for supporting this vital community mission and signing-up!
