Title: Mexican Folkloric Dance

SITA and International Festival offers this class with Maestra Maricela Bustos who has been a professional dancer for the last 20 years. She started dancing folkloric music at hotel's shows in Cancun. Mexico. In the United States she has been part of Bailadores de Bronces and Grupo Folklorico de Guadalajara and she has summer camps for children in Seattle, WA. She loves sharing the traditions that comes with music and dancing. 

Open to Grades: 3rd - 5th 

School Rehearsals

  • Dates: Weekly on Thursdays from March 21st through May 16th (3/21, 3/28, 4/4, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16 - NO CLASS 4/11) 
  • Time: 3:40pm - 4:35pm
  • Location: Puesta del Sol - P3 (first portable room)

Performance & Dress Rehearsal Details:

  • Dates: May 15th & May 18th
  • Location: Bellevue High School Performance Arts Center 

Costume details: GIRLS: White shirt and white pants, tap shoes or high heals if possible BOYS: White shirt and blue jeans. Accesories will be provided by Marcela B.
