BHS Cultural Connections
We are excited to present our inaugural BHS Cultural Connections event!!!
The event will be held on Monday, May 11th, from 5pm-7pm in the BHS Commons/NPAC. This event will showcase and celebrate the great diversity within our school community. We're inviting BHS clubs, as well as future BHS students from feeder pattern schools, to join in the fun. YOU can become a part of this event by volunteering to host an informational table about a culture or to educate and entertain with a cultural performance.
Table and Performance sign-ups will CLOSE on Friday, May 1st!!!
Please indicate what culture you are interested in representing in the Comments section of your sign-up.
Tables: Table hosts will be provided with a 6 foot long table and will have great freedom in how they design their cultural displays. For example, participants can include art work, traditional handicrafts, clothing, games, history, trivia, books, crafts and more! It can be as simple or as complicated as you make it! Please do NOT bring samples of food to share as there are issues with allergies and permits and such. We hope to have food trucks representing a variety of cuisines in attendance, but that is still to be determined.
Performances: Performances will be held in the NPAC. If you would like to perform, please indicate so in the comments section and we will reach out to you about the specifics of your performance.
**BHS Clubs - please be sure to list the name of your supervisor and their contact information in the Comments section!!**
Set-up for the event will begin at 3pm. Clean-up will happen after the 7pm end time.
We hope to see you there!
