The "Letters to Santa" program continues to grow year after year. Nearly 2,000 letters to Santa were submitted by hopeful kids last year, and each one received a unique response thanks to a dedicated and creative group of helper elves. Demand is so high that the CEO (Chief Elf Officer) is putting a community-wide callout for more letter-writing elves.
Requirements for letter writing elves are:
- access to a computer and printer (as they are all typed and printed off on special paper)
- a great sense of imagination for creative writing
The CEO and her team will provide you with all other materials (including paper, pre-decorated envelopes, and stamps), an info/FAQ page, as well as examples of letters from previous years to spark ideas for your own writing.
The mailbox goes up on November 16 and closes on December 16. Once per week, you'll stop by the Log Cabin Visitors Center, 121 5th Ave N, to get a stack of about 20 kids' letters and materials.
