Art Classroom Assistant Kindergarten (3)

Assist the Art teacher in the classroom with hands on projects during the school year. We are asking for 2-3 parents for each grade. May also assist the Art teacher with preparing the artwork for presentation in the school.

Big Event (26)

The Big Event happens on Student Appreciation day during Catholic Schools Week. There will be a variety of activities and time slots to sign up. Will be contacted by the coordinator.

Book Fair Coordinator

Book Fair Volunteer

Work 1-2 hour shift once during the Book Fair, either during school hours or on Open House night. Assist children looking for books, total student's purchases, take money, and make change.

Box Tops for Education (2)

Coordinate the bonus program, counting boxtops, processing labels and working with principal ordering supplies for the school with earned credits. This can be done at home.

Boys Basketball Coach for Rec League Team (8)

Program is conducted through City of Jackson Recreation Department for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Program runs between November and mid February. Please indicate the grade level.

Cafeteria Coordinator for Volunteers

Organize and schedule volunteers for lunches

Cafeteria Volunteer (64)

Work one day a month from 11:20-12:45. Collect lunch cards and wipe tables; circulate during the lunch period to assist children. The Coordinator will contact you. Please indicate Day of the Week you can work.

Cafeteria Volunteer Substitute (13)

Substitute for a Cafeteria Volunteer from 11:20-12:45. Collect lunch cards, wipe tables and assist children. Please do not sign up for this if you have signed up for Cafeteria Volunteer. Please indicate the day(s) of the week you can substitute.

Collate paper packs in August (30)

Prepare paper packs in August for 1st and 2nd grade classrooms. One day commitment for 2-4 hours in the evening in school cafeteria. This activity requires 20+ volunteers so please feel free to bring JCMS and Lumen students that need service hours.

Cover Library Books (5)

School librarian will contact volunteers throughout the year to come into the library to pick up supplies and books to cover at home.

Euchre nights at Queens (5)

Once a month, volunteer to assist euchre chairmen with set up, serving food and drinks, selling 50/50 tickets, and tear down. In comments please put if you will be available each month or only a few.

Field Day Volunteer (40)

Assist at different stations during Field Day, which is held in early June. You will be contacted by coordinator.

First Communion Banners (4)

Need help gluing and cutting in March.

Flowers/ Grounds Keeper (3)

Plant flowers around school sign and Mary's Statue, water and weed (May and June)

Fundraising Ideas Committee

Come together and brainstorm new ideas to help PTO orgainize new fundraisers.

Lock-In Planning Committee (5)

Work together to coordinate activities for event and schedule volunteers (2 per year, Fall and Spring)

Lock-In Volunteer

THere is two Lock in's per year one in Winter and one in Spring. You will help in a room or an activity at the Lock In. The coordinator will send out a sign up close to the date.

May Procession Flowers/ Baskets Volunteer (3)

Prepare 12 baskets of flowers for the annual May Procession.

Men's Club Member

Attend regular meetings and volunteer for at least two Men's Club sponsored activities per school year. This is a year long commitment. Please include your email address.

Mileage Club Organizer

Phone/email and schedule volunteers for a six-week period during the lunch hour in the spring. This can be done at home. Organize prizes or motivating activity to encourage student participation.

Mileage Club Volunteer

Must be available during both lunch hours to stamp students cards for each lap that is completed around the designated course. This activity is held in the spring on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Please indicate which day(s) you are available.

Morning Playground Supervisor (12)

Scheduled for one week at a time- Supervise children and activity that takes place on the playground in the morning from 7:35-8:05. Duties conclude when school bell rings. Will be contacted by coordinator.

Morning Playground Supervisor Substitute (3)

Available to work in the event that current scheduled supervisor is unable to complete week.

Mother/son party (6)

Planning and organizing a Dance or glow party at Queens usually in February. For all Jackson Catholic elementary schools

New Parishioners Program (2)

Work with school secretary on coordinating and mailing out annual letters to newly baptized parishioners.

Open House Volunteer in January

This is held at the end of January during Catholic Schools Week, (with the book fair), help set up tables, managing refreshment tables, and clean up.

Popcorn Fridays (15)

Once a month on a Friday, you will be popping popcorn, bagging it, counting money and delivering it to each classroom. Please put in your comments what month or months you will be available. You will be contacted by the coordinator.

PTO Group

The PTO's mission is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and the staff by providing support for educational and recreational needs. Meetings are the 2nd Wednesdays of each month. Please include email address.

Roller Skating Volunteer

Work roller skating from 6 until 8 pm one Friday each month.

School Improvement Committee Member (5)

Join other parents and teachers to help improve learning at Queen's School. The team meets 6 times during the school year.

Science Comes to Life Chair

Coordinate and plan activities for a one day Science event that all students participate in.

Science Comes to Life Volunteer

Assist chair during the event, manage stations for the event. You will be contacted by the coordinator.

Scout Leader

Lead a group of school boys or girls in either cub scouts , boy scouts, daisies, brownies and juniors. The leader will organize monthly meetings and field trips and coordinate fundraisers for the group. Please indicate grade level and boys or girls.

Staff Appreciation Lunch Volunteer (6)

Prepare a potluck dish and deliver to teachers lounge. Will be contacted by the coordinator.

Used Uniform Sale Coordinator (2)

Contact and schedule volunteer workers for uniform sales 2-3 times during the school year. Contact principal in July to arrange first sale and coordinate future dates.

Used Uniform Sale Volunteer

Work shifts during sale hours, help sort items and assist parents in purchases.

Welcome Committee

You will help welcome at Kindergarten testing and Info night for prospective families looking for a school. Also help new and prospective families feel welcome at the school.
