In conjunction with Habitat for Humanity of McLean Co., St. Patrick Church of Merna and the Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a “Wall Build” on Saturday May 11th in the St. Patrick’s Church parking lot. The walls built will be for a 3 Bedroom Habitat Home in your community, helping a local family become first time homeowners. To make this event a success we need your support. Volunteer opportunities include: Wall Assembler, Runners, Group Leader, Breakfast, Lunch and Snack/Drink volunteers, Prayer Vigil volunteers, and Shirt Sponsors or outright Financial Supporter. All volunteers must be 10 years and older (10-18 years of age must be accompanied by legal guardian), and will need to complete a diocesan waiver form. If helping assemble walls, you will need to bring along a claw hammer. No power tools will be used or required to assemble walls. Volunteers will also receive a free t-shirt commemorating the event.
